Just a few days ago, I discovered The Riddler had created a sequel to my favourite "find the answer" game of all time, Dracula's Riddle.
I'm rather disappointed with myself: this game has been out well over a year, and I hadn't known about it. Still, it was a worthy distraction while I waited for my copy of Professor Layton and the Diabolical box...
A week later, and I'm still struggling through it.
I'd hoped I could manage to complete it in a single, intense weekend, but alas - I had underestimated the sheer genius of the creator. He's outdone himself, both in terms of puzzles and the lengths we must go to solve them!
Professor Layton is on the backburner while I try to make my way to the elusive ending. Surely I'm only a few answers away, but right now I am completely stuck on the Dead River lines... Any help out there?

I am playing this as well! How far have you gotten?
ReplyDeleteI am completely stuck and have been for quite a while.
It was quite hard to leave a comment by the way. The textbox where you type in the verification code and the "Post comment" button were "further down" but there was no scrollbar, so you had to tab your way down. Not everyone may think of this, so if you can do anything about it, perhaps you should!
ReplyDelete@Mexit: thanks for letting me know about the comments issue. I'll take a look at the code to see what I can do to solve this.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently stuck on Chapter 4, particularly the dead river level (the one with the lines, and a very cryptic txt message). I've not played for a few days now, but will get back to it this weekend. How far have you got so far?
Okay. I am in chapter 4 as well. I was stuck on the first riddle of it for quite sometime, but solved it yesterday. I have solved a few more riddles, but I don't think I have gotten to any river yet. I'm stuck in the past on the riddle that has "It is his" as clue and there are a bunch of letters organized in four groups. I haven't had time to work on it yet though. I will let you know when I find a river!
ReplyDeleteVery nice blog/homepage by the way.
Mexit, if you're still stuck let me know the title of that page as I can't remember the answer without looking at it.
ReplyDeleteI recall the "it is his" section being incredibly cryptic regarding the answer though!
Still not managed to complete this riddle as I've had some major work these past couple of weeks. Luckily I managed to bookmark my page so I don't have to complete the whole thing again!
Hello. I am passed that riddle now and I have reached the riddle you mentioned. The dead river. Unfortunately, I am as stuck as you are. I'll put some more thought into it later tonight.
ReplyDeleteOkay I think I might have some ideas on what to do here, but I am probably doing it wrong because I'm not getting anything. Have you solved it yet?
ReplyDeleteAh! I solved it, it took a while. Have you gotten further yet?
